Ants collectively work in highly organised colonies, which function as unified entities, as superorganisms. Their team play, excellent communication skills and hard-working attitude enable them to tackle complicated problems. Some species construct complex nests, while other nomadic species only build temporary structures. Either way, they always carefully select the most ideal nest site and construction materials.
Their long co-evolution with other species has resulted in many commensal and mutualistic relationships. Overall, ants have achieved an amazing balance in terms of living space and relationships, reaching an exceptional degree of sustainability. Their lifestyle inspired the interdisciplinary ANTS STUDIOS.
We walk the talk. ANTS works methodologically to smoothen collaboration with its clients and partners. As a reference framework, ANTS has selected the international Plan of Work of the Royal Institute of British Architects. More than other techniques, this approach focuses on collaboration more than the methodology of the designers themselves .
ANTS works as an organically organised team. Our approach requires cross-functional and cross hierarchical collaboration and a free flow of information. Our Project teams are self-steering and can deal with most project challenges on the spot.
Each case is designated to a project owner who is responsible for the day-to-day business. All clients are in direct contact with ANTS’ Creative Director who is accountable for the overall management of the firm and its accounts.
As a team, we navigate daily through architectural design and engineering sciences. We strive towards excellence and improve ourselves continuously. We value attitude and ownership equally to experience, knowledge and creativity. We offer insight into a new approach to create architecture.

Our current office is situated in Antwerp. Our team is currently working on a zero-energy office in nearby Schoten where we will redevelop a brown field to the ecologically most valued spot of the North of Antwerp. The works are planned to be finished in the beginning of 2024.
